Andrew Keher Photography

Wedding Photography in Liverpool & throughout the UK

My name is Andrew

Welcome to Andrew Keher Photography. I’m a professional Liverpool Wedding Photographer working throughout the North West and the rest of the UK. I’m committed to giving you stunning wedding photographs that you will absolutely love. My style is unobtrusive & subtle, designed to capture amazing images with a minimum of fuss. Your wedding day should be as enjoyable & relaxed as possible; I work quietly, in the background, allowing you to simply enjoy your day. I’ll photograph your wedding as it happens in my own unique style with little or no posing at all. I want to capture the real emotion of the wedding- true to you.

It’s your wedding

I will present you with images that are natural, timeless and beautiful, something to be treasured forever. I achieve this by working discreetly in the background. If you don’t notice me that’s even better because it means I’m capturing the wedding without people feeling awkward or nervous in front of the camera!  When it comes to photographing a wedding, I have a clear and simple philosophy: to capture real moments between real people, nothing contrived, fake or cheesy. I offer a discreet and professional service where the photography doesn’t get in the way of your wedding; you can relax, safe in my hands.

My latest work

Photography is an ever-changing medium with trends that come and go. My goal is to create photos that will always be a pleasure to look at. As a Liverpool Wedding Photographer I’ve worked at some of the North West’s most beautiful venues and received many kind words from my happy couples. Whether you’re getting married at a stately home, a rustic barn, a contemporary city hotel or anything in between, you can be sure you will receive images of the highest quality, capturing the true spirit of the day. Please visit my blog to see examples of photos from real weddings.

Relaxed, Natural, Emotive Photography

What is documentary photography?

How I work

discreetly in the background

I love to photograph weddings as they happen, with little to no posing involved. For me, documentary photography is to chronicle moments and retell a story, without taking over your day.

without artifice

I want my photographs to reflect you as a couple, truthfully. You may be nervous, or shy, or even completely unfazed in front of the camera, and that’s fine; I let you be you.

observation and timing

I seek out & capture the finest moments of my couple’s first steps on the road of marriage. I sneak, I get low, I watch & wait, and when the moment is perfect- I take the picture!

Andrew Keher is a Creative Documentary Wedding Photographer based in the UK

Hi! My name is Andrew Keher. I’m thirty-something years old and I’m a professional Liverpool wedding photographer.

I have a small problem with the label ‘wedding photographer’. For me it conjures up images of boring, awkward poses, lots of cheesy smiles & very little imagination. I’d much rather be called a ‘photographer who loves to photograph weddings’ but it doesn’t roll off the tongue quite so easily. I suppose it’s up to me and like-minded photographers to redefine the term and put an end to boring wedding photos. Let’s make images fun, creative, joyful, emotive & true to the couple. I’m extremely lucky to have such a wonderful job, telling the story of two people having the best day of their lives, surrounded by family and friends & ready to celebrate in style!

I live in Formby near Liverpool with my wife and three children, near the famous red squirrel nature reserve.

My wife Lucy keeps me firmly on the straight and narrow. As well as being beautiful, funny and clever she is my:

Account manager, personal assistant, office manager, motivational speaker, fashion purchaser, managing director, diary coordinator, sounding board and muse. Somewhere in there she even finds time to run her own business. I am incredibly fortunate.

Finally, my stepson Owen and my identical (in features only) twin daughters Molly & Megan are the shining stars of my life without whom all this hard work is pointless.

When it comes to photographing a wedding, I have a simple philosophy that I follow throughout the day. I want to capture real moments between real people, nothing contrived, nothing cheesy- I want to provide my couples with images that are natural, timeless and beautiful, something to be treasured forever. I want to tell the real story of the wedding. I was a Regional Finalist in the Wedding Industry Awards 2016 for Best UK Wedding Photographer and I’ve picked up a few other awards along the way. I’ve been featured on some of the biggest and best wedding blogs in the UK such as Rock My Wedding, Brides Up North & Love My Dress. I’m a member of the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers & the UK Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers.  I’m also proud to have won a Fearless Photographers Award.

I love what I do & I hope it shows in the images I create.

I forgot you were there most of the time! I love seeing our wedding photographs, they make me want to cry (in a good way!) as they take me right back to the moment they were taken. For this we're overjoyed and so grateful that we picked you!

We didn't want to waste hours on staged photographs but rather enjoy our day, which Andrew helped to create by not being imposing. He understands it's your day and uses he expertise to understand when to get involved and when to hang back all the while getting the best photos of everyone. Andrew's energy and passion made us and everyone we spoke too feel at ease. Our final photos are the one permanent memento of our day and we couldn't be more pleased with them!

Any questions?

  • Where are you based?
    Will you travel?

I live in Liverpool, Merseyside but I’m available for weddings all over the UK and Europe. 100 miles is included. If your wedding is further away then I do charge for travel expenses. Thinking of a destination wedding somewhere exotic? Just add my accommodation & airfare- package rates remain the same.

  • How many photos do we get?
    Enough to make an album?

I place no upper limit on the number of photos you receive, but usually it’s around 400 images (often more), all fully edited for colour and consistency. My largest album looks fantastic with between 100-160 images so you’ll have plenty of choice.

  • What happens if you're ill?
Who will photograph on the day?

If the worst happens I will make every possible effort to find a replacement photographer to cover the wedding, of a comparable style to me, at no cost to you. I’m lucky to have a large network of photographer friends to be called upon in a true emergency.

  • How much do you charge?
    Do you require a deposit?

Quality wedding photography is an investment & like any worthwhile investment will increase in value over time. Remember, once the cake is eaten & the guests have gone home, your photographs will be the memories of that perfect day. My packages start from £1500 & I require a small booking fee of £300 to hold your date.
